Showerwall Installation Instructions

Product Specification:
Showerwall panels are manufactured from moisture resistant MDF and faced front and back in high pressure laminate.

Installation:
You will be amazed by how simple and quick it is to fit Showerwall waterproof panels. Gone are the days of spacing, cutting tiles and grouting. With Showerwall you simply cut the panels to size and fix them to the wall, using the recommended installation instructions in each pack.

Wall Preparation:
Walls should be completely dry and any source of damp treated before cladding with Showerwall panels. Wallpaper and other fabrics should be removed and ceramic tiles should be degreased. Surfaces must be flat, reasonably square and suitable for screws and plugs. If the surfaces are unsound, uneven, or out of plumb, you will need to batten the walls.

Fixing Panels:
Showerwall panels can be cut using conventional woodworking tools and fitted directly to walls provided they are sound and reasonably square, to studwork or on top of existing tiles. When cutting the panels with a handsaw the decorative surface should be face upwards. When cutting a panel with a jigsaw or circular saw, the decorative surface should be downwards.

Tongue & Groove panel installation:
Showerwall tongue&grooved joints should be installed with Showerwall silicone sealant applied to panels before installation. Tongue and groove panels should be mounted on to horizontal battens to ensure a positive location and a neat joint.

Square edge panel installation:
Square edged panels can be joined together using Showerwall trims with Showerwall silicone sealant that forms a strong and secure bond even between non-porous surfaces. The sealant is designed for high pressure and pumped shower systems and has a high degree of elasticity that ensures the bond remains firm during the natural expansion and contraction of the panelling.

Environmental:
All Showerwall panels are manufactured using FSC certified MDF, guaranteeing that the wood used in its production is harvested from responsibly managed forests. By buying a product with FSC certification, you are supporting responsible forest management worldwide.

Care and Maintenance:
Showerwall is more hygienic and easier to maintain than tiles. The non-porous surface provides excellent protection against bacteria, especially in the areas between tiles that are traditionally grouted.

Showerwall Anti-bacterial Cleaner kills germs and keeps hard surfaces clean without scratching and is recommended for the optimum life and performance of the panel.

Abrasive cleaners and bleaches MUST NOT be used on Showerwall panelling.

Showerwall Guarantee:
Showerwall waterproof panels are constructed from a moisture-resistant MDF core, faced and backed with 100% waterproof laminate. When installed using the recommended installation guide and accessories, Showerwall is guaranteed for 15 years.

Surfaced in high pressure laminate, Showerwall is resistant to scratches and stains, while being water resistant and easy to maintain. The lightweight panels are available with either a square cut or tongue and groove specification on the vertical edges only. Showerwall panels are available in a range of versatile sizes, and a 1000mm panel for even greater flexibility.
